The ratio of mixing rice with urad dal is 2:1. That is if you are taking four cups of rice, the urad dal should be 2 cups.
For making soft idlis, after grinding rice and urad dal separately grind 1 cup of cooked rice and join all three . Keep it for 12 hours then use it You will get soft idlis

Hi

I would like to know for ratio 2:1, how much cooked rice to be added. Above I think u have given for ratio 4:2. Let me know soon. And I use IdliRawa and not Rice My ratio is also same 2:1 For that we can add cooked rice to get softer Idli.
Thanks
Waiting for reply.
