My grandmother use to make an Indian sweet called Cul Culs which was made with flour and (cant remember the other ingredients) and shaped into balls and was iced on half of the ball. She has been gone for many years now and as the Indian blood is getting less and less in our family I want to keep some of the Indian foods still alive to our palates especially the sweets. I can not find a recipe for this sweet anywhere and hope that someone here can help me please. Not sure if the spelling of it is correct.

Hi Linda,

My grandmother made these, its shortcrust pastry, rolled out on butter boards to give them a striped outer side then fried and rolled in icing sugar with water and left to harden, as kids we really enjoyed them and am hoping to make some this year for Christmas.
