  1. The above receipe is for Melagu Rasam to be prepared as and when Rasam is to be made.
    I give below the Rasam Powder receipe which can be prepared and kept for 6 months :
    4 parts Red Chillies
    3 parts Dhaniya/Coriander seeds
    1 part Black Pepper/Melagu
    1 part Jeera/Cummin Seeds
    3/4 part toor and channa dal mixed
    1/2 part turmeric powder
    Roast all above items individually except turmeric powder for making them dry.
    Mix all items and grind it into a coarse powder.
