can seedai be done without coconut because we are allergic to coconut?
Yes…it can be done without coconut. Infact the seedai’s from adayar anandha bhavan (hope you know that they make one of the best seedai) dont have any coconut in them….also saravana bhavan.
Don’t forget to dry out the seedais on a newspaper for 15 – 20 mins, before frying, else the seedais explode leaving behind painful memories of a botched Janmashtami:(
My mother adds Udaitha kadalai flour additionally. It turns out really crispy & tasty!
