Kalkandu Bath

Raw Rice – 1 cup
Milk – 3 cups
Diamond kalkandu(rock candy) – 1 and 1/2 cups
Saffron – a pinch
Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Cashew nuts – 10

Cook the rice with milk in a pressure cooker. After it is well cooked , transfer it to a thick bottomed vessel, and mash it well. Add the diamond kalkandu and heat it in low flame. It will become loose and then thicken on constant stirring. Add roasted cashews and saffron. Remove from flame and serve hot.
