channa dal – 1 cup
curd – 2 tablespoons
oil – 2 tablespoons
turmeric powder – 1 pinch
ginger paste – 1/2 teaspoon
green chilli paste – 1 teaspoon
eno fruit salt – 1 tablespoon
grated coconut – 2 table spoons
mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon

Soak channa dal for one and a half hours. Grind coarsely (like rawa). Add curd, salt, turmeric powder, chilli paste, ginger paste and mix well. Add oil and eno and mix well and pour in a big idli plate. Cook in cooker for 15 mins. Fry mustard seeds in ghee and pour it on top. Add some coconut gratings and red chilli powder. cut into square pieces and serve hot.
