sweet avakkai pickle


8 cups mango pieces
red chillies – 1 cup,
salt – 1 cup, mustard seeds – 1 cup
turmeric powder – a pinch

Grind mustard seeds, salt and red chillies separately and mix.
Add this mixture to the mangoes. Mix 2 tsp water in 1 cup jaggery and make thin syrup. Do not overheat.
Cool and mix it with mangoes. Add 1 cup sesame oil. Mix once for about a week everyday.
